During his four years at Wake Forest University, Alec played as a tight end on the football team and competed in four bowl games and the 2021 ACC Championship.
He continued his education and athletic career in Indianapolis, IN, at Butler University where he again played tight end on the football team and became a graduate from the Lacy School of Business.

First hockey game
My first hockey game was with the Checkers when they played in Time Warner Cable Arena back in 2010. I went with a friend and his family for his birthday and I still have the wooden mini stick I bought at the merchandise stand.
