Signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Carolina on 4/4/11 … Drafted in the sixth round (178th overall) by Carolina in 2009.

2011-12

Completed his first professional season and first with the Checkers … Recorded his first professional point, an assist on Drayson Bowman’s goal at SA (10/29) … Picked up the only fighting major of his career when he dropped the gloves with Mike Angelidis at NOR (11/23) … Had the lone assist on Matthew Pistilli’s goal that opened the scoring just 2:07 into the game and was plus-2 vs. MIL (11/27) … Assisted on Zach Boychuk’s game-tying goal and was plus-2 vs. HER (1/11) … Scored his first professional goal, an unassisted tally with 6:34 remaining in the third period that held up as the game-winner, vs. GR (1/15) … Notched his second goal of the season vs. RFD (1/27) … Took a career-high six shots on goal vs. PEO (3/20) … Scored his third goal of the campaign at RFD (4/10) … Took a career-high six penalty minutes in Charlotte’s last game of the season at MIL (4/15) … Games missed due to injury: 6 (upper body: 2/25-3/11; lower body: 4/5) … Sat out six games as a healthy extra (10/22, 10/28, 10/30, 11/6-11/12).
