Jerome Samson
Finished the 2011-12 campaign as the Checkers’ all-time leader with 468 shots on goal in 110 games played … Led the Checkers in shots in each of his first two seasons with the team, setting the single-season record with 245 in 2010-11 … Scored 20 or more goals in each of his first five AHL seasons … Selected to the AHL All-Star Classic in 2009-10 and 2010-11 … Named to the AHL’s First All-Star Team in 2009-10 … Signed a two-year contract with the Hurricanes on 6/22/10 … Signed as an undrafted free agent in July 2007.

Completed his first professional season, spending the entire year with Albany (AHL)… Made his AHL debut in Albany’s season opener at Binghamton (10/6), scoring his first professional goal, which was Albany’s first goal of the season… Earned his first professional assist and had his first multi-point effort vs. Manchester (10/19)… Netted his 20th goal of the season with a power-play tally vs. Bridgeport (2/22)… Played in all seven of Albany’s Calder Cup playoff games, earning a goal and an assist in his AHL playoff debut in Game 1 vs. Philadelphia (4/16).
