Biography
Signed a professional tryout contract with the Checkers on Feb. 8, 2013 ... Originally drafted by Columbus in 2006 but has also spent time in the Boston and Edmonton organizations following two separate trades.
2011-12
Began his fourth professional season in the ECHL with Bakersfield before being traded to Florida on Jan. 6 ... Set single-season career highs in games played (72), goals (22), assists (20) and points (42) ... Ranked second on Florida in playoff scoring with 18 points (6g, 12a) in 18 games as the Everblades captured their first Kelly Cup championship.
2010-11
Spent the entire season at the AHL level with Oklahoma City, recording 12 points (5g, 7a) in 63 games with the Barons.
2009-10
Played for four different teams in two different leagues over the course of his second professional campaign ... Played a total of 46 games at the AHL level with Providence and Springfield ... Scored 10 points (1g, 9a), all with the AHL's Bruins before Boston traded him to Edmonton for defenseman Cody Wild on March 2 ... Played 16 games in the ECHL with Reading and Stockton, scoring five points (2g, 3a) ... Scored 10 points (6g, 4a) in 15 playoff games with Stockton.
2008-09
Spent the entirety of his first professional season with Providence after joining the Boston Bruins organization in a trade for defenseman Jonathan Sigalet on May 27, 2008 ... Set AHL career highs in games played (71), goals (9), assists (13), points (22) and penalty minutes (45) ... Played nine playoff games with Providence, recording two points (1g, 1a).
Junior
Totaled 164 points (100g, 64a) in 203 games over the course of three seasons with Moncton and Baie-Comeau in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League ... Posted a career-high 43 goals in 68 games during his third and final season, which was split between Moncton and Baie-Comeau ... Notched career highs in assists (29) and points (70) with Moncton in 2006-07 ... Scored eight points (5g, 3a) in 20 postseason games as Moncton captured the QMJHL championship but fell in the Memorial Cup as the host team during his rookie season in 2005-06.
