Signed a two-way American Hockey Leauge contract with Charlotte on 7/17/12.
2011-12
Turned pro after the conclusion of his college season, playing 12 regular season games with Chicago and five playoff games with South Carolina of the ECHL on amateur tryout contracts ... Appeared in five of South Carolina's nine playoff games, going 2-3-0 with a 2.76 goals-against average and .901 save percentage ... Arrived one hour before the game and stopped 54 of 57 shots in his professional playoff debut as the Stingrays defeated Gwinnett in the fourth overtime period (4/6) ... Improved to 2-0 in the postseason by stopping 39 shots as the Stingrays defeated Gwinnett in double overtime (4/8) ... Played his first 12 games as a professional with the Chicago Express, going 8-3-1 with a 2.41 goals-against average and .926 save percentage ... Made 41 saves in his professional debut as Chicago fell 5-2 at KAL (3/9) ... Earned his first pro victory in his second game, a 26-save shutout at KAL (3/10) ... Won three straight games from 3/10-3/16, allowing a total of just three goals and improving his professional record to 4-1-0 ... Won five consecutive games from 3/23-3/30.
College
Ranked second all-time at the University of Vermont in saves (3,352) behind only NHL All-Star Tim Thomas .... Ranked third on the school's all-time games played list (127), was fourth in goals-against average (2.91), fifth in save percentage (.902), and sixth in wins (41) ... His five shutouts tied for the fourth-most ever by a UVM goalie ... Named Hockey East's Defensive Player of the Week on six separate occasions during his career ... Named to the conference's All-Academic Team in 2010-11 and was a semi-finalist for the Walter Brown Award, presented to the best American-born player playing college hockey in New England, in 2009-10.
Junior
Played two seasons in the USHL with the Chicago Steel, going 21-16-5 with a 2.93 goals against average, .912 save percentage and one shutout in 2007-08 ... Ranked first in the USHL in saves (1,260), was second in minutes played and ranked sixth in save percentage during that season ... Was 3-4 with a 3.21 goals against average and .930 save percentage (first among USHL goalies) during the 2008 postseason ... Averaged 42 saves per game in the playoffs.
