Signed a one-year, two-way contract with Carolina on 7/11/12 ... Won Eddie Shore Award as the AHL's Most Oustanding Defenseman while playing for Portland in 2010-11 ... Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round (87th overall) in 2005.
2011-12
Completed his fifth professional season, splitting the season between Buffalo and Vancouver of the NHL ... Set career highs in games played (58), goals (2), assists (13), and points (15) while spending an entire season at the NHL level for the first time ... Recorded his first point of the season, an assist on Paul Gaustad's game-winning goal, at LA (10/8) ... Recorded assists in back-to-back games at MTL and FLA (10/18-10/20) ... Scored his first goal of the season and second of his career on the power play at BOS (11/12) ... Notched a pair of assists vs. BOS (11/23) ...
