During each Checkers home game this season, fans in attendance will nominate a Checkers player for the Roll Up Your Sleeves Hard Worker of the Game presented by Community Blood Center of the Carolinas, given to the player who fans feel was most ready to "give" maximum effort to help the Checkers win. At the end of the season, the player with the most points will be named the Roll Up Your Sleeves Hardest Worker Player of the Year during a special pregame ceremony.
When prompted via the Checkers' official twitter account and an in-game announcement with 10 minutes remaining in regulation time, fans can tweet their nomination @CheckersHockey. Results will then be tabulated, with that night's winner announced at the conclusion of the game.
