Growing up, was a fan of the Detroit Red Wings and his favorite player was Peter Forsberg … Likes to listen to hip hop music and his favorite artist is Drake … Favorite movie is The Dark Knight Rises and his favorite TV show is a tie between Friends and Prison Break… When not on the ice, enjoys cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and shopping … Over the summer, Karlsson visited family and friends in Sweden and spent his days in the sun.

Completed his first professional season in North America … Scored a power-play goal in his debut game at MIL (10/16) … Earned his first assist of the season with the lone helper on Drayson Bowman’s goal vs. MIL (11/14) … Assisted on Ryan Murphy’s first goal of the season, a power-play tally to open the scoring in a 2-1 shootout win vs. IA (11/29) … Had the primary helper on Zach Boychuk’s power-play goal to open the scoring in a 2-0 win at ONT (1/3) … Assisted on T.J.
