 This Friday, March 16, the Checkers and Goodwill of the Southern Piedmont will hold a clothing drive. Bring gently used clothing to the Checkers/Admirals game and you will not only receive a tax write-off for your contribution, but Goodwill will give you a FREE ticket to an upcoming game.
Proceeds from the drive will be used to help rebuild the South Boulevard Goodwill retail store which was set on fire in late February. The store’s entire contents were lost to the blaze, which caused an estimated $500,000 in damage.
While at the game, be sure to check out the stylish clothing that can be purchased for great prices at Goodwill as the CheckMates walk the catwalk for the annual Goodwill Fashion Show during one of the intermissions.
Goodwill operates 20 retail stores and has more than 30 donation sites in the Southern Piedmont region of North and South Carolina.
