The third annual Pooch Party, presented by the Humane Society of Charlotte, is this Sunday, March 18, when the Checkers host the Norfolk Admirals. Fans can bring their dog to the game to enjoy an afternoon of dog-themed entertainment. Additionally, pet-related businesses and non-profit organizations will occupy the main concourse with information and pet products.
In two previous events, more than 650 dogs attended and $4,500 was raised for the Humane Society of Charlotte.
Fans are encouraged to submit Checkers or hockey-related pictures of their dogs to community@gocheckers.com to use on the video board throughout the game.
