TERRY IN TWO EVENTS AT SKILLS COMPETITION

Checkers forward Chris Terry is participating in two events during Sunday's All-Star Skills Competition: the puck control relay and the breakaway relay.

Update: The Western Conference defeated the Eastern Conference 18-10 on Saturday. Click here for full results.

The event, held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, begins at 3 p.m. The puck control relay is the first event on the schedule, with Terry one of three skaters (Oklahoma City's Philippe Cornet and Hamilton's Frederic St. Denis) representing the Western Conference. The breakaway relay, in which all players participate, is the last of seven events.

The All-Star Game begins Monday at 7 p.m. Fans can watch both games online at AHLLive.com for a one-time fee of $14.99. Broadcast information from around North America, including replay schedules, can be found here.

This year's event marks the first AHL All-Star Appearance for Terry, a third-year forward who is the Checkers' all-time leader in goals (44), assists (60) and points (104). Terry, the Checkers' scoring leader this season with 40 points in 44 games, has an active eight-game point streak (4g, 11a) that ties his own team record set earlier this season. The 2007 fifth-round draft choice of the Carolina Hurricanes has already tied his single-season career high for assists (30) and is on pace to set new career highs in points (67).
