 Prior to each Checkers game, we're asking fans (via our in-game Twitter account and Facebook account) to offer their predictions to a specific question. Answers will be submitted to the team’s official Twitter feed for in-game updates, @CheckersInGame, and by commenting on the corresponding Facebook post.
This question will vary greatly over the course of the season, with some more difficult and obscure than others. They could be as simple as “Who will score the Checkers’ first goal?” or as difficult as “How many saves will Mike Murphy make tonight?” with any number of other possibilites in between. In addition to providing live updates about the game, @CheckersInGame will also keep track of and provide updates on that night’s question.
At the end of the season, all individual winners will be entered to win a Grand Prize that will be anounced at a later date. Individual winners and prizes will be tracked on this page, which can be found any time under the Fan Zone tab of gocheckers.com.
RULES
• In the event that no one answers a question correctly, that night’s prize (which will be announced in conjunction with the question), will be carried over to the following game. In addition to a particular night's prize, the winner will take home any and all carryover prizes as well.
• In the event that more than one fan answers correctly, a winner will be chosen at random from the pool of correct responses.
• Only one guess per social media account. In the event of multiple guesses from one user, only the first will count. Responses can be submitted any time between the announcement of the question and the start of the game.
• Winners will be announced following the game or potentially earlier, depending on the question. Winners will be announced on Twitter and Facebook and provide their contact info via direct message.
• Prizes available for pick up at the Checkers offices or during another Checkers home game. Prizes will not be shipped outside of North and South Carolina.
