The Charlotte Checkers' 10th Annual Charity Golf Classic, held on Tuesday, Nov. 15, raised $10,000 for charities including Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital, 'Teach for America' and Discovery Place. The event, which allowed golfers the opportunity to spend an entire day with Checkers players and staff, featured 18 six-somes at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation in Mint Hill. The fundraising total was made possible by proceeds from the golf tournament and fundraising matches from the Charlotte Checkers Charitable Foundation.
