CHARLOTTE, NC – Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Jeff Daniels announced today the team has recalled goaltender John Muse from its ECHL affiliate, the Florida Everblades.

Muse, 23, has appeared in two games with the Everblades this season, posting a 0-1-1 record with a 2.41 goals against average and .924 save percentage.

The Massachusetts native led the Boston College Eagles to NCAA National Championships in 2008 and 2010 and was signed by the Checkers to an American Hockey League contract on July 18, 2011.

The Checkers take on the Houston Aeros again tonight at Time Warner Cable Arena (7 p.m.) before hosting Norfolk Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the Time Warner Cable Arena box office or at www.ticketmaster.com.
