CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers general manager and head coach Jeff Daniels announced today that the Carolina Hurricanes have recalled forward Zach Boychuk on emergency conditions.
Boychuk, 21, ranks second in Checkers scoring with 39 points (15g, 24a) despite playing only 31 games. He recorded a hat trick in Sunday's 9-5 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and has 11 points (5g, 6a) in his last four games overall with the Checkers.
