RALEIGH, NC—The Carolina Hurricanes announced today that they have signed center Riley Nash to a multi-year, two-way contract.
Nash, 21, played the last three seasons at Cornell University where he scored 37 goals and 65 assists in 102 collegiate games. In 2007-08, he was named ECAC and Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
The native of Consort, Alberta was originally chosen by Edmonton in the first round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft before being traded to the Hurricanes on June 26 of this year.
