The fourth annual Pooch Party, presented by Lowe’s, is set for Sunday, March 10, and fans are encouraged to bring their dog to the game for an afternoon of dog-themed entertainment. Additionally, pet-related businesses and non-profit organizations will occupy the main concourse with information and pet products.
In three previous events, more than 1,000 dogs attended and $6,000 was raised for dog-related non-profit organizations.
This year’s beneficiary is Project HALO, a local no-kill animal shelter which focuses on rescuing and adopting stray and abandoned dogs. Fundraising tickets for Project HALO are available here with $5 from each ticket going back to Project HALO.
Dog owners are encouraged to submit Checkers or hockey-related pictures of their dogs to socialnet@gocheckers.com to use on the video board throughout the game.
Additionally, the first 400 people to bring and donate items from Project HALO’s wish list (below) will receive an exclusive Pup Crew stuffed animal from NASCAR driver Ryan Newman’s Rescue Ranch. Lowe’s will also be giving away hand towels to the first 3,500 fans who come through the doors.
Project HALO Wish List:
