Race Location and Schedule

• All pre-race registration will take place at the Trade Street Plaza of Time Warner Cable Arena at 333 E. Trade St.
• All post-race activities will take place at the EpiCentre at 210 E. Trade St.

Checkers 5K Race Day Schedule

• 6:45 a.m. - Race day registration and packet pickup
• 7:30 a.m. - Registration close
• 7:45 a.m. - Start Charlotte Checkers 5K
• 8:00 a.m. - Post-race party festivities begin at the EpiCentre
• 8:30 a.m. - Kids Fun Run presented by Family Talk begins
• 8:45 a.m. - Checkers 5K award ceremony
• 10:00 a.m. - Post-race party ends
• 7 p.m. - Charlotte Checkers game vs. Oklahoma City

Registration

• Register online until Friday at 12 p.m.
• Race Day registration begins at 6:45 a.m. and closes at 7:30 a.m.

Registration Pricing

• $30 until online registration closes at noon on Nov. 23
• $35 day of race on Nov. 24

Packet Pickup

If you have registered by Nov. 21, you may pick up your race bib, game tickets, goodie bag and race t-shirt at the Checkers offices on the following dates from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

• Monday, Nov. 19
• Tuesday, Nov. 20
• Wednesday, Nov. 21

The Checkers' offices are located on the fourth floor of the EpiCentre. If you take the elevator in front of CVS to the fourth floor and make a left, they are through the double doors down the hall.

Post-race Party

• 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the EpiCentre Plaza
• Includes food, beverage, awards ceremony, inflatables, Chubby and the CheckMates and much more!
• Those who wish to consume beer must have valid proof of ID

Awards and Prizes

• The top male and female finishers will receive a top overall finisher medal, a Checkers jersey and a Checkers prize bag with assorted gifts and prizes
• The top three male and female finishers in each age group will receive a medal. Age groups are as follows: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
• Wear your hockey gear! The best-dressed runner will win a $50 Checkers merchandise card, and the runner-up will receive a Checkers prize pack.

Game Information

• 6 p.m. doors open
• 7 p.m. puck drop against Oklahoma City Barons
• Checkers megaphone giveaway for first 3,500 fans

Parking

There are several options for parking, including these suggested lots:

• EpiCentre parking garage with entrances on 4th and Trade
• Bank of America Corporate Center Garage located at 150 N. College St.
• Center City Green at 350 E. 6th St.
• Gravel lots on corners of Caldwell and Trade and Davidson and 5th
