A group of volunteers from the Checkers’ and Chiquita Brands’ I.C.E. (inspiring community enrichment) Team spent Wednesday morning at the Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville, N.C. The group helped clean the grounds and prepare the rehabilitation center for renovation before taking a tour to learn about the 23 species of raptors on the Raptor Trail.

Carolina Raptor Center is dedicated to environmental stewardship and the conservation of birds of prey, through education, research, and the rehabilitation of injured and orphan raptors. Their 3/4 mile Raptor Trail in Latta Plantation Nature Preserve houses species of native and exotic raptors including hawks, owls, eagles, kites, falcons and vultures.
