Charlotte Checkers St. Baldrick's Fundraiser
Checkers players, staff members and fans are teaming up this March to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation with a fundraising goal of $50,000. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that helps fund research to find cures for childhood cancer.

Join Checkers players and staff, the Bennett family and Sport Clips barbers at Connolly’s on 5th on Friday, March 14, from 5-7 p.m. for a special pre-event shaving.

Carter Dang and Claire Ratcliff St. Baldrick's Register or Donate
Leading the initiative are Checkers Director of Community Relations/in-game hostess Elle Bunn and forward Matt Marquardt, who will shave their heads the weekend of March 15 in honor of Carter Dang, a 4-year-old boy who recently lost his battle with cancer, and Claire Ratliff, who did the same in 2012.

The first 50 fans who register to raise funds and shave their heads along with Bunn and Marquardt on March 15 will get two tickets to that night's Checkers game. A team of stylists from Sport Clips will be assisting in head-shaving activities at Time Warner Cable Arena, which will take place from 3–6 p.m.

Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer or donate, we hope that you'll be a part of this great event and help us conquer childhood cancer.

Register as a shavee, volunteer or donate to Team Elle or Team Marquardt by visiting the Checkers' St. Baldrick's event page.
