Fully recovered from injury, Alex Nedeljkovic is headed back to Charlotte.

The rookie netminder has been recalled from the ECHL’s Florida Everblades, while C.J. Motte has been released from his PTO.

Nedeljkovic, sent to Florida on Dec. 28, played three games in three nights for the Everblades, starting two and entering the third in relief. He picked up the win in both of his starts, making 30 and 39 saves, respectively, but has been sidelined since Dec. 31 due to injury. Now healthy, Nedeljkovic returns to the AHL where he is 3-12-0 this season. His last appearance for the Checkers came on Dec. 20, a 4-2 loss in Cleveland.

Motte, who made 30 saves and earned the win in his lone start for the Checkers on Tuesday, returns to his ECHL club, the Quad City Mallards.

The Checkers kick off their longest home stand of the season tomorrow as they host the Cleveland Monsters for the first time this season.
