Sergey Tolchinsky
After recovering from an injury suffered in Carolina’s training camp, Sergey Tolchinsky will travel with the Checkers as they prepare to begin their regular season in Texas.

Tolchinsky, who ranked fourth on the Checkers with 36 points as a rookie last season, joined the team for Thursday’s final practice day and is expected to be available to face the Stars on Friday and Saturday. His presence, along with the addition of NHL veteran Patrick Dwyer, gives the Checkers 14 forwards on the active roster.

A dynamic scorer in junior hockey, Tochinsky, 21, will aim to continue the scoring pace he discovered toward the latter portion of last season. Of his 14 goals, six were scored over a five-game span from March 23-April 2 – a stretch that also saw him make his NHL debut with Carolina.
